Exponential equation



3x+2 – 3x+1 + 3x = 21
3x 32 -  3x  31  +  3x = 21
3x (9-3+1) = 21
3x × 7 = 21
3x  = 21/7
3x =  31
x = 1

1.          (a-b)0 + 0.1-2   10-1=
 .          Solution
             1 + 1/102 x 1/101 =
             1 + 1/100 x 1/10 =
             1 + 0.01 x 0.1 =
             1 + 0.001 =
             1.001
             

Expanding logarithms


            Logarithm rules
            1) loga(mn) = loga(m) + loga(n)
2) loga(m/n) = loga(m) – loga(n)
3) loga(mn) = n · loga(m)

       Example 1
              log3(5x)=?
          Solution
              log3(5x) = log3(5) + log3(x)
      Example 2
           log4( 3/x )=?
         Solution
           log4( 3/x ) = log4(3) – log4(x)
      Example 3
           log5(x4)=?
         Solution
         log5(x4) = 4 · log5(x) = 4log5(x)
      Example 4
            Log2( 3a/7x )=?
         Solution
           Log2( 3a/7x )= log2(3a ) -  log2(7x)= 
                              = log2( 3) + log2(a ) – log2(7) – log2(x )

Solve systems of Linear Equations



1       x - y   = 2
        3x-2y   =9

2       2x  +   3y   =   -4
        5x  +    6y   =   -7

3      x   -  3y   =1
        3x   -9y   =3
